As we approach the close of the year, it would be slightly challenging to ask ourselves to think of positive things we may have learnt this year. But before we hastily complain, how about your faith and your spiritual walk with Christ. you may or may not be a believer but whether we like it or not we have reached this point by a grace that was freely given to us before we were ready to acknowledge it.
..Whether we like it or not we have reached this point by a grace that was freely given to us before we were ready to acknowledge it..
The title of this message was extracted from Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” The reason behind this title was to remind us of what the word says about the end. we have already reached the last days and so far what has been impacting the world has instilled a great amount of fear. However are we acting in faith or fear? The events that will transpire in the coming years have already been prophesied in the bible which means that it will happen with an absolute. However this was not spoken to manifest fear it was spoken to 1.) prove the bible as truth and 2.) to ensure that we are watching and praying so that we are ready to receive Christ when he comes.
The Blood of Jesus
Did you know that the blood of Jesus gives us the opportunity to commune with God the Father? The fear that we have been witnessing in the world is due to the fact that people are unaware of where they will end up after death therefore would like to remain on the earth for as long as possible. However if we were certain of where we were going would we be so reluctant and fearful? The famous scripture John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” As mentioned earlier this was given as a gift before we were able to acknowledge him. To summarise and restrain myself from going to far in depth with this now, we should be walking in the confidence and the faith that after physical death we will enter a new stage called everlasting life. However the main question is; where are you going?
